Sweet Fennel (foeniculum vulgare) has long been used for relief of digestive complaints. It is also reputed to have an oestrogenic action, helping to regulate the menstrual cycle and relieve painful cramping. It is also helpful during menopause.It has a cleansing and toning effect on the skin, it is also useful for removing cellulite, helping with bruises and overly oily skin and to fight wrinkles in more mature complexions (possibly due to the estrogenic properties of the oil).
