Chusen is a traditional Japanese hand-dyeing technique, particularly known for its use in creating patterns on textiles like Tenugui (hand towels) and Yukata (summer kimonos). The process involves layering stencils and fabric, applying a paste to block dye in certain areas, and then pouring dyes to create intricate designs that are visible and colorful on both sides of the fabric.
